I am a Minneapolis-based portrait & wedding photographer specializing in a candid, storytelling approach. Session types include family, wedding, newborn, musician, and high school senior photography.
Something else? Just ask.
I travel everywhere, so if you’re outside of Minnesota, let me know. Here are a few samples from Mexico, Scotland, Oregon, Wisconsin, Maine, Denver, California and New Orleans.

 My approach

I’m very passionate about the work I do. I care about getting to know you, so I can best capture who you are and your vision. I love that photography is a way to tell a story without using words. I’m here to tell your story.

I strive for a mix of classic and candid photos. My style centers around my love for storytelling and capturing movement. As you take a look in my gallery, you’ll find a mix of candids, formals, portraits, and details in my wedding & family collections.

Why candids?

Candids are those simple, fleeting moments that allow a personality to show. Imagine the funny expressions and chuckles people make right after a family formal is snapped…that’s the photo you’ll end up framing and hanging on the wall. Those are the memories that will help take you back to that special time in your life.

Hang them up

Also, you should get some nice pictures on your walls, fridge, and desk instead of letting gorgeous photos die slowly on a hard drive that will one day no longer work anyway. For more information on booking and pricing use the contact form in the menu above.

A little more about me:

I love to travel and spend many weeks on the road. So if you’re not in the midwest, that’s okay! Send me a note using the contact form in the menu above and I can tell you a little bit more about my travel rates.
I am the founder and editor of A Face Project. A Face Project is a podcast and quarterly magazine featuring stories told by people from around the world that broaden our understanding of the human experience. Anyone can participate and you can learn all about it at www.afaceproject.com
I also offer private business tutoring and teach a photo business course at the Minneapolis Photo Center. As photographers, I believe we all have something a little different and unique to offer the photo world and I’m passionate about helping build a strong community of photographers.
One-on-one workshops have recently begun to fill my calendar. There are two options: business building & workflow. If you’re a photographer interested in learning more, please send me a note!
