Just before the snow fell: a Minnesota portrait session

Now that it’s cold, snowy, and white here in Minnesota, I thought I’d uncover an autumn photo session to warm the blood a little.

Just before all of the leaves fell to the ground and winter arrived I met with Rylynn’s family (including their incredibly cute new puppy) for a family session in Prior Lake. The park was filled with sunshine and the best fall colors: oranges, reds, and yellows. Flaxen leaves covered the ground and Rylynn sure had a wonderful time playing around in them. However, that didn’t last long once she discovered the sandy beach around the corner.

Sessions like this one are constant reminders to me that I love what I do, especially out of the studio. Chasing a little kiddo & puppy around in hopes of capturing the silly, endearing things they do next is always exciting and never the same. Thanks Rylynn & family for such a memorable session. Enjoy.
